It is with a heavy heart i bring bad news.

Last evening John Hewes passed away in his hospital room from complications from surgery. he was sedated after a 2 hour procedure and went into cardiac arrest.

Arrangements are now being made for his funeral, and John leaves behind his wife Adrienne, two sons, John III and his wife Cathrine and 2 sons. William and his wife and son, and a daughter Rachel.
he also leaves 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Paul, Joeseph, Phillip, Mitzi, Jenny and Barrie Layne.


Adrienne has asked me to relay this message online to his friends and i will pass on any information as it becomes available. I do know that he really did care for this game with all his heart and he would like you all to know his feelings after he has gone.

Hello all.

Arrangements for john is as follows:
His wishes were to have his body creamated and there will be a memorial mass on Thursday in Whitehaven, PA. giving time for his son to return from deployment in the gulf.

It is asked if any donations or in Leiu of Arrangements to make donations to the Marine corps league.

As you can imagine, Adrienne is not handling the situation well at all and she is left with a very big loss in her life, John's brothers and sisters are helping her out as much as possible to handle his estate which he has numerous matters to be taken care of. his boat and properties take alot to take care of but they will guide her through it and it is my hope she will be ok as i know you all will also be in time. I have numerous sheets of paper with information that he has kept through the months that i do not quite know what to do with but i know should be handed off for your game.

I will be on from time to time if there is anything you may need for the upkeep of this portal so just leave me a message if there is anything you need. it was his wish and my promise to him.

I wish you all well and i ask you say a prayer for Adrienne Hewes in her time of sorrow and for the soul of our friend John.
